FAIRLY ODD DUO

JB & Michelle Faires have amassed a rather unique repertoire that will keep you guessing what's coming next.

Drawing from singer-songwriters, both obscure and famous, The Fairly Odd Duo plays originals as well as covers from every decade of American Popular music.

Although they've been married for over 20 years, they only began singing and performing together last year. "She told me she wanted to sing a song," JB says, "and I was a little skeptical since I'd only heard her sing with the radio cranked. But we had such a good time I said, 'Great. Let's learn a whole bunch of songs!'"

Michelle was intimidated at first, coming from a background in art and finance, not music performance. But soon the duo was harmonizing together like they'd been doing it forever.

The duo has returned to Illinois after honing their repertoire playing open mics and busking their way through the Pacific North West and California. "We think most people will see how much we enjoy it," says Michelle, "and catch themselves smiling with us!"
