HUCK FATE

Huck Fate was born out that hard working, do-it-yourself ethos found throughout the farmlands of America and raised in the spirit of Mark Twain's famous character, Huckleberry Finn. 

Huck Fate came together in the summer of '11, but its roots go back about five years before that. Guitarist Ben Hay started with a handful of songs that developed during some solo gigs, where he played the guitar, bass drum, hi-hat, and didjeridu all at the same time---impressive, to say the least. After a few of these solo gigs, Ben was joined by bassist JB Faires and the duo cranked it up a notch, adding a solid foundation and vocal harmonies. Then in the glorious summer time the two teamed with the right drummer, Jay Ferguson. Jay holds the knowledge of everything percussive, which completed the musical picture. 

What has emerged from this growth is a rowdy power trio with a fresh and informed take on the roots of Rock.
Full of energy and compelling grooves, no whining, no crying, just full-on rocking.

Additionally, Huck Fate displays what informed and talented musicians can do when they devote themselves to their craft---making their own instruments. The drums are handmade by the drummer, the amps are handmade by the guitarist, the guitars are custom modified, and I'm pretty sure no one has been to the store for new clothes in over a decade. Momma always said that homegrown was better, and Huck Fate proves it.
